Queenie (Euro) was already named when Karen bought her at the age of 4 months from renowned sheepdog trainer and handler Serge van der Zweep. Karen had flown to Holland to cheer on her daughter Kate Moureaux and Contact Point Thinks Quick and friend Olga Chaiko and Contact Point's Rayo de Luz at the IFCS Agility World Championships in May 2006. Euro was bred by Serge & Ellen van der Zweep. Euro's sire is Llanfarian Daf who is a son of Serge's Glen who placed 3rd at the World Sheepdog Trial 2005, was European Sheepdog Champion 2005, Dutch National Champion 2006 and 2nd place European Champion 2007. Euro's mother is Lynn.
Euro is a pistol! She is very quick and agile and has great acceleration and speed. She has a fun personality and from the time she was picked up from her home in The Netherlands and went to the hotel and airport she was completely nonplussed by all of the noise and commotion. She's fearless! She's very ball crazy and is food motivated as well.
Euro's OFA good hip rating, OFA normal elbows, normal CERF, and normal BAER tests, in addition to her feisty personality and solid temperament, all make her a great addition to the Contact Point breeding program.
Euro is a small smooth coat black tri bitch standing roughly 18" tall and weighing in at 25 pounds. She is solid muscle and has springs in her legs. One of her favorite things is to jump up in your arms or bounce up and give you kisses on your nose when you least expect it.
Euro is currently training on sheep and has also been started in agility and is showing great potential in both sports.
